Privacy

Updated November 6, 2026

This notice explains data handling in Sacred Text Compass. The current application does not include user accounts, advertising scripts, visitor analytics or application cookies.

Your library stays in your browser

Notes, highlights, bookmarks, notebooks, comparisons, reading positions and preferences are stored in your browser for the site address you use. Drafts and navigation settings also use local or tab storage. These records are not uploaded to a library account or automatically synchronized across devices.

Deleted items may remain in Trash or local recovery copies until permanently deleted. Clearing site data removes locally stored material. Exported files remain wherever you saved them. Your browser settings control site storage. Local records remain until you remove them or your browser clears them; private browsing, storage limits and device failures can also cause loss.

Backups and changing addresses

Export a JSON backup in My Library before clearing browser data or moving to another device or address. Browser storage is separate for different domains, including www and non-www addresses. On www.sacredtextcompass.com, import the backup into My Library. Importing replaces the library at the destination, so export any existing destination library first. Markdown exports are readable documents, not restore files. See migration instructions.

Searches, links and network requests

The browser searches an index delivered by this site. Texts, fonts and map files also load from this site. Serving a page requires the hosting infrastructure to receive request information such as your IP address, requested URL and browser information; operational or security logs may contain this information.

Search terms and selected item identifiers can appear in page URLs, browser history and links you share. URL fragments after the # character are not sent in ordinary HTTP requests. Legacy shared comparison links contain public passage references, not private comparison notes. Search and filter terms can also be included in the URL. Avoid entering private information into these fields, and check a link before sharing it.

The public site is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes network requests to provide hosting, delivery and security services; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy. This infrastructure processing is separate from the personal library stored in your browser.

Support email

If you email sacredtextcompass.support@novaraone.com, your email provider and the receiving email service process your message. Correspondence includes your email address and whatever details or attachments you send. We use it to respond to your request and investigate the reported issue. Avoid including sensitive information or private notes unless necessary.

To ask about or request deletion of correspondence, use the same support address. We cannot delete your browser’s local library remotely; you control it through My Library and your browser’s site-data settings.

Your choices and requests

You can export your library, delete individual items or clear the site’s browser storage. These actions do not delete files you previously downloaded or emails you sent. To ask about access, correction, deletion or retention of support correspondence, contact the support address above. Your rights and any right to complain to a data-protection authority depend on the law that applies to you.

External sources and changes

Links to publishers and other sources take you to services with their own privacy practices. This notice will be updated if the application’s data handling changes. Questions can be sent through Contact.
