ud7.7:0.2The Ending of Proliferation

ud7.7:1.1So I have heard.

ud7.7:1.2At one time the Buddha was staying near Sāvatthī in Jeta’s Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika’s monastery.

ud7.7:1.3Now at that time the Buddha was sitting reviewing his own giving up of the judgments driven by the proliferation of perceptions.

ud7.7:2.1Then, understanding his own giving up of the judgments driven by the proliferation of perceptions, on that occasion the Buddha expressed this heartfelt sentiment:

ud7.7:3.1“There is no proliferation remaining in those

ud7.7:3.2who have passed beyond the halter and cross-bar.

ud7.7:3.3The sage who lives without craving

ud7.7:3.4is never scorned by the world with its gods.”
