iti3:1.1This was said by the Buddha, the Perfected One: that is what I heard.
iti3:2.1“Mendicants, give up one thing
iti3:2.2and I guarantee you non-return.
iti3:2.3What one thing?
iti3:2.4Delusion is the one thing. Give it up,
iti3:2.5and I guarantee you non-return.”
iti3:2.6The Buddha spoke this matter.
iti3:2.7On this it is said:
iti3:3.1“When overcome by delusion
iti3:3.2beings go to a bad place.
iti3:3.3Having rightly understood that delusion,
iti3:3.4the discerning give it up.
iti3:3.5Once they’ve given it up,
iti3:3.6they never return to this world.”
iti3:4.1This too is a matter that was spoken by the Blessed One: that is what I heard.
