iti51:1.1This was said by the Buddha, the Perfected One: that is what I heard.
iti51:2.1“Mendicants, there are these three elements.
iti51:2.2What three?
iti51:2.3The realm of luminous form, the formless realm, and cessation.
iti51:2.4These are the three elements.”
iti51:2.5The Buddha spoke this matter.
iti51:2.6On this it is said:
iti51:3.1“Comprehending the realm of luminous form,
iti51:3.2not stuck in the formless,
iti51:3.3those who are released in cessation,
iti51:3.4they are conquerors of death.
iti51:4.1Having directly experienced the element free of death,
iti51:4.2free of attachments;
iti51:4.3having realized relinquishment
iti51:4.4of attachments, the undefiled
iti51:4.5fully awakened Buddha teaches
iti51:4.6the sorrowless, stainless state.”
iti51:5.1This too is a matter that was spoken by the Blessed One: that is what I heard.
