iti33:1.1This was said by the Buddha, the Perfected One: that is what I heard.
iti33:2.1“Mendicants, an individual with two qualities is placed in heaven as if delivered there.
iti33:2.2What two?
iti33:2.3Excellent conduct and excellent view.
iti33:2.4An individual with these two qualities is placed in heaven as if delivered there.”
iti33:2.5The Buddha spoke this matter.
iti33:2.6On this it is said:
iti33:3.1“If a person possesses
iti33:3.2these two qualities—
iti33:3.3excellent conduct
iti33:3.4and excellent views—
iti33:3.5when their body breaks up, that wise person
iti33:3.6is reborn in heaven.”
iti33:4.1This too is a matter that was spoken by the Blessed One: that is what I heard.
